چکیده

We review recent results on the anomalous fluctuation theory of stochastic Burgers, KPZ and the continuum directed polymer in one space dimension, obtained through the weakly asymmetric limit of the simple exclusion process. Asymmetric exclusion model with impurities.

An integrable asymmetric exclusion process with impurities is formulated. The model displays the full spectrum of the stochastic asymmetric XXZ chain plus new levels. We derive the Bethe equations and calculate the spectral gap for the totally asymmetric diffusion at half filling. While the standard asymmetric exclusion process without impurities belongs to the KPZ universality class with an ex...

Numerical method for accessing the universal scaling function for a multiparticle discrete time asymmetric exclusion process.

In the universality class of the one-dimensional Kardar-Parisi-Zhang (KPZ) surface growth, Derrida and Lebowitz conjectured the universality of not only the scaling exponents, but of an entire scaling function. Since and Derrida and Lebowitz's original publication [Phys. Rev. Lett. 80, 209 (1998)] this universality has been verified for a variety of continuous-time, periodic-boundary systems in...

Scaling Exponent for the Hopf-cole Solution of Kpz/stochastic Burgers

We consider the stochastic heat equation ∂tZ = ∂ 2 xZ − ZẆ on the real line, where Ẇ is space-time white noise. h(t, x) = − logZ(t, x) is interpreted as a solution of the KPZ equation, and u(t, x) = ∂xh(t, x) as a solution of the stochastic Burgers equation. We take Z(0, x) = exp{B(x)} where B(x) is a two-sided Brownian motion, corresponding to the stationary solution of the stochastic Burgers ...

Formulas and Asymptotics for the Asymmetric Simple Exclusion Process

This is an expanded version of a series of lectures delivered by the second author in June, 2009. It describes the results of three of the authors’ papers on the asymmetric simple exclusion process, from the derivation of exact formulas for configuration probabilities, through Fredholm determinant representation, to asymptotics with step initial condition establishing KPZ universality. Although...
